IN NAME AND IN FACT

A strong, firm and determined spirit. Gram is Piedmontese for “mean”. No matter how steep the downhill trails or rough the climbs may be, the Gram will take on any trail with grit, reaching all summits and dominating every slope.

The Gram has been designed by Aldo Drudi’s D-Perf. With style enhancing the bike’s performance, Aldo has harmonised symmetry and asymmetry, he has struck the perfect balance between aesthetics and technicality. He has won many awards, designed helmets for many famous Grand Prix motorcycle racers, and has made the Gram an iconic representative of the prestigious and refined Italian Style.

E-Enduro Customised Geometry

By using carbon, Gram did not need to make any structural compromises. Its geometry was developed with a “zero limits” mindset. New angles, new lines, new shapes, excellence. The new TPS-2 suspension system designed by THOK E-Bikes increases the progressivity of the kinematics and optimises its use in Enduro.

SHIMANO SYSTEM – THE CHOICE

  • The progression of a motor is how it delivers assistance: Shimano does not have peaks. It feels like a well-trained leg
  • How elastic a motor is is determined by the transition between the push and release phases: with Shimano it is constant and manageable
  • The Q factor (the distance between the cranks) of the EP8 motor is lower: pedalling is more natural
  • The EP8 is one of the lightest and least bulky motors you can find; it has a small and intuitive display, it can be customised and store parameters
  • Shimano has one of the best structured assistance services in the world: always precise and responsive
  • The Shimano closed system (motor, battery, software) guarantees maximum efficiency when it comes to performance and consumption

PERFORMANCE FIRST – SHIMANO EP8 CLOSED SYSTEM WITH 630 WH BATTERY

Performance is the number one priority in every THOK project. The Gram is equipped with the closed Shimano EP8 system because it guarantees maximum efficiency when it comes to performance and consumption. Tests carried out by the in-house research department have proven this, here are the results:

  • the closed Shimano system, which includes drive unit, battery and software, not only ensures the best possible dialogue between the components but also facilitates troubleshooting thanks to the shared service
  • the 630 Wh capacity battery was found to be the most effective for THOK-style E-Enduro use: flying down breathtaking downhill sections after riding up all kinds of climbs. In fact, it ensures lightness (compared to larger capacity bikes) and better handling (thanks to smaller overall dimensions)
  • in general, the Gram’s frame geometry and kinematics perform best using the complete Shimano EP8 system with 630 Wh battery, especially when it comes to consumption

UDH dropout
“Universal Derailleur Hanger” is the new dropout compatible with all drivetrain systems on the market. Easy to maintain and find, it protects the integrity of the drivetrain (by rotating backwards in the event of an impact), improves gearshift performance and prevents the chain from getting caught between the frame and the cassette.
